Environmental Engineers and Field Technicians
Immediate Openings for Environmental Engineers, Geologists, Licensed Environmental Professionals, and Field Technicians
Full time and part time positions available for Environmental Engineers, Geologists, Licensed Environmental Professionals, and Field Technicians. Position includes performing groundwater testing and monitoring, excavation and drilling oversight and environmental Health and Safety Program preparation. Spill and emergency response coordination and reporting. Preparation of Phase I, II and III Environmental Site Assessments. Building HAZMAT inspections for asbestos, lead, PCBs and other regulated materials may be performed as part of property site evaluations.
Requirements:
AS/BS/MS Degree or degree candidate in environmental engineering, civil engineering, environmental science, geology, hydrogeology, industrial hygiene, safety or environmental science required.Experience completing field sampling reports, preparing cost estimate, attending meeting with architects, engineers, construction managers, and contractors a plus. Knowledge of OSHA construction and general industry regulations. Prior field experience in performing building HAZMAT audits, safety audits, indoor air quality and mold assessments. Environmental and OSHA air monitoring experience is also desirable. Preferred training/licensure and work experience also includes OSHA 10 hour training, OSHA 30 hour training, HAZWOPER 40 hour training and specialized safety training. CAD design training experience, as well as knowledge of Grapher and Surfer software a plus. Excellent computer skills required including Microsoft Word and Excel .
Specific licensure including current State of Connecticut Asbestos Inspector License, State of Connecticut Asbestos Management Planner License, State of Connecticut Asbestos Project Monitor License, State of Connecticut Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor License and State of Connecticut asbestos and lead design licensure a plus for performing for field assessments and property site evaluations.

Construction Site Safety Managers and Environmental Engineers
Immediate openings for Construction Site Safety Managers and Environmental Engineers
Prior experience includes all aspects of onsite safety oversight including reviewing site safety plans, site environmental controls, fire protection programs, fall protection, electrical safety, trenching and shoring, personal protective equipment use, Job Hazard Analysis (JHA), and all standards covered under the OSHA General Industry and Construction Standard.
Onsite experience with large bridge and road construction projects, tunnels, and infrastructure improvements a plus. Specific site auditing expertise and good reporting ability required.
Requirements:
AS/BS/MS Degree in Safety, Construction Safety and Health Management, Civil or Environmental Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Geology, Environmental Science or Construction Management, as well as 30 Hour OSHA training required. Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel also required.
Preferred candidate should have completed various additional safety training courses or licensures such as: Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST), Associate Safety Professional (AST), Industrial Hygienist in Training (IHIT), 10 Hour OSHA, 40 Hour Site Safety Manager, 40 Hour HAZWOPER training, 4 hour Suspended Scaffold training, NYC DOB Fireguard training, and NFPA 70E Electrical training. Specialized training and experience in on-site safety auditing and performing Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) is also desirable.
