EnviroMed received a call in regards to tenant concerns about the odor of the drinking water. It was determined that based on the concerns expressed by HANH Project Manager that a complete water potability test would be performed. The EnviroMed Registered Sanitarian (RS) reviewed the tenant complaint and was scheduled to visit the tenant units within several days to perform a complete potability test.
As necessary, drinking water was collected from the unit taps and delivered to a State of Connecticut Department of Public Health drinking water laboratory.
Analysis was conducted for odor, turbidity, physical parameters, pH, and a complete chemical scan for chemical contamination as well as for biological contamination including total and fecal coliform bacteria.
Testing results confirmed that all tenant drinking water sampled met all State of CT Department of Public Health requirements. A summary report was immediately generated upon completion of the laboratory analysis, reviewed by a CIH, and provided to the HANH project managers who communicated findings to the tenants. The finding satisfied tenant concerns.
